The city of Mondovi, WI, is situated along the Buffalo River in Buffalo County, about 15 miles east of Durand along U.S. Route 10 at the junction of State Highway 37. Mondovi covers a land area of almost four square miles, home to a population of roughly 2,600 people. This small city is located mostly within the larger town of Mondovi which spans some 32 square miles.
A local post office has been open since 1854, and the city was laid out the following year, named for the French Battle of Mondovì.
